How do I get Tag® installed in my vehicle?

Whether your insurer requires it or you simply want to be proactive about security, book an appointment at your nearest Tag®-installing Speedy Glass to get started (Ontario only). If your insurer requires Tag®, they may cover a portion of the installation costs. Check with them beforehand.

At your appointment, your technician will install a varied number of trackers in secret places.

During installation, a discreet Tag® logo is etched into the driver and passenger windows just above the door handle. This is a seriously effective deterrent to would-be thieves.

How long does it take to install the Tag® System?
Tag® installation generally takes about an hour at Speedy Glass. To keep the locations of the trackers secret, only the technician is present during the installation. A confidential report is then sent directly to Tag®.
Will the Tag® anti-theft system lower the cost of my car insurance?
Many insurers offer substantial rebates or discounts for installing the Tag® System. Contact your insurance provider or broker for more information.
Who will be able to track my vehicle?
Only the Tag® Tracking Team will ever be able to track your vehicle, and they will not begin to do so until the system is activated, which requires your consent and an event number from local law enforcement.
What should I do if my vehicle is stolen?
First, contact your local law enforcement agency to report the theft and obtain an event number, which Tag® will need to proceed with tracking. Then, immediately contact Tag® Tracking Central to advise them of the theft and provide the event number. The Tag® Tracking Team will take action within minutes.
