Your windshield makes up nearly 30% of your vehicle’s structure. In other words, it plays a vital role in maintaining your vehicle's structural integrity in the event of a rollover or front-end collision. As well, it helps ensure your airbags deploy as intended to protect your passengers.
Never underestimate the role a properly fitted windshield can play in restoring your vehicle’s structural strength. Your safety can depend on it.
If your windshield’s damage is smaller than the size of a loonie ($2 coin), not in the driver's line of vision, and at least 4 cm from the edge of the windshield, we can likely repair it.
If your windshield damage consists of more than 3 impact points or a crack larger than a loonie ($2), is in the driver's line of vision, or is less than 4 cm from the edge, we strongly recommend replacement.
In either case, you can schedule your appointment online or obtain a quote to have your glass damage fixed.
Yes, but it’s unlikely. Windshields are made of laminated glass and consist of a plastic compound called polyvinyl butyral (or PVB), which prevents glass from shattering.
Windshield repair involves introducing a product under pressure into the chip. This 70-step process restores the windshield to its original strength and reduces the appearance of damage. Take a look at our windshield repair service.
You can usually drive away immediately after a windshield repair or a side-window replacement. For windshield replacements, we recommend waiting until 30 minutes after the replacement has been completed.
Your technician will inform you if any additional time is required.
Repairs can often be completed in less than an hour. Replacements, meanwhile, are done in 3 hours including the camera recalibration process.
Unfortunately, no.
A windshield chip repair prevents further damage to your glass and restores the structural integrity of the vehicle. However, following a repair, a slight blemish or imperfection where the impact occurred is normal.
The good news is that, in most cases, you’ll notice a big improvement in the appearance of your windshield. In the unlikely event that a crack would form from the repaired chip, we’ll credit the cost of the repair towards a windshield replacement.

Not always. The main purpose of a chip repair is to restore the structural strength of your windshield and prevent the damage from spreading. A faint mark may remain visible after the repair, which is completely normal.
That said, in most cases, the windshield’s appearance is significantly improved. For added peace of mind, should a crack later develop at the same location, the cost of the repair will be credited toward the windshield replacement, including for insurance claims.
Because it could determine if a repair or replacement is necessary.
If the impact is located in the driver’s line of vision, we might be able to repair the damage; however, since this would affect your visibility, the safer option is likely to replace your windshield.
Also, if the impact is located too close to the body of the vehicle, we won’t be able to use the equipment needed to repair the damage, and the windshield will have to be replaced anyway.
We can repair up to three (3) impact points. If your windshield has more than three, its strength is likely compromised, and, therefore, we recommend replacing it for your safety.
We favour OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) windshields as they offer a more cost-effective option than OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass without compromising on quality. Although they don’t feature the vehicle manufacturer’s branding, they are produced to the same specifications and often match the quality of OEM glass.
