Tag Vehicle Tracking ® (FAQ)

Only the Tag® Tracking Team will ever be able to track your vehicle, and they will not begin to do so until the system is activated, which requires your consent and an event number from local law enforcement.

Many insurers offer substantial rebates or discounts for installing the Tag® System. Contact your insurance provider or broker for more information.

Tag® installation generally takes about an hour at Speedy Glass. To keep the locations of the trackers secret, only the technician is present during the installation. A confidential report is then sent directly to Tag®.

There are no hidden or additional fees for the Tag® System. The purchase price—which may be covered by your insurer—includes the installation cost and monitoring for a five-year period.

First, contact your local law enforcement agency to report the theft and obtain an event number, which Tag® will need to proceed with tracking. Then, immediately contact Tag® Tracking Central to advise them of the theft and provide the event number. The Tag® Tracking Team will take action within minutes.

Unlike other car theft trackers, the Tag® System does not connect to your vehicle’s electrical system, so it has no effect on your vehicle's warranties or lease.
