All of the work performed by Speedy Glass® is in line with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS):
- FMVSS 208
The purpose of this standard is to ensure the windshield offers a strong support point in the event of an airbag inflation. - FMVSS 212
This standard aims to ensure that the windshield remains intact when a head-on collision occurs, preventing the vehicle’s passengers from being ejected. - FMVSS 216
This standard’s purpose is to protect the passenger’s safety by ensuring the windshield prevents the roof from caving in when excessive force is involved (i.e. when a vehicle tips over).
Certification
The replacement glass we use is of first grade quality and comes only from original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
Environment
Every year, over 2,000 tons of glass are recycled and over 130 service centres in Quebec and Ontario are doing their part in recycling glass. We invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in this program.
